A chakra, pronounced ‘shah ‘krah’ is one of seven focal points on the body where vital energy flows intersect. The purpose of chakra healing is to balance one’s energy flow, and in turn, balance one’s health.

Originating in India thousands of years ago, chakra healing is now practiced in new meditations such as yoga, reiki and reflexology. Each chakra point gives rise to a colour that is related to one’s spiritual, physical and emotional health.
