Rituals and Crystals for New Years Resolutions:
Are you among the many who like to take advantage of the energy at the beginning of the New Year to create a new future for yourself? You can use Rituals and crystals to great advantage when making and keeping your New Years resolutions.
The secret to creating your new future lies in the old adage ‘Out with the old and in with the new.’
OUT WITH THE OLD.
Part 1 of your New Years resolutions.
One of the best ways we have found to get rid of old unwanted stuff is to burn it. By old unwanted stuff, we are talking about attitudes, mannerisms, emotional baggage and mental constructs that no longer work. And of course habits and activities that no longer serve the greater good.
Make some time available. Sit down with a pen and paper and make a list of all those things you no longer want in your life. You don’t have to be fancy or particular in how these are recorded. Just get them down, crudely if you have to.
Now that you have your list – let’s put them in the past.
In a safe location and with due care, take your list and burn it. Scatter the ashes if you can. As you are burning and destroying the ashes of the past, imagine them gone from your life. Do your best to never think of them in their old light again.
IN WITH THE NEW.
Part 2 of your New Years resolutions.
A great way to institute your New Years resolutions is also by making a list and then setting it under a Clear Quartz crystal point. Part of the secret to making this work is to not list too many things in your list. It is much better to just have a few key things that are important to achieve.
Writing your list out on high quality paper, or we prefer light card, helps to add importance to your list. Also writing it out neatly contributes to its importance. Writing rather than typing seems to work better for this purpose. Maintaining a positive and expectant mental attitude also plays a significant role. Furthermore using encouraging words and affirmations is helpful and also assists in keeping us upon the path we desire.
Now that you have your list – let’s take some affirmative action’s and do what we can to help make things happen.
Remember, your intentions are very powerful tools of manifestation. So it is important to never underestimate their real power in setting your resolutions or goals. Positive affirmations and prayers also contribute greatly to bringing our thoughts and desires to life.
Select a spot where you can make an alter for your New Years resolutions. It can be as simple as a bit of space on a shelf. Now with a ceremonial attitude, place your list upon it. If this is in a public place, it may be wise to place the list in an envelope or fold it so it can’t be read. Next take a cleansed Clear Quartz crystal and place it on top of your list. You can now leave it in place until you realise your list of intentions or New Years resolutions.
Your Clear Quartz crystal may be as big or small as you wish. You can use a Clear Quartz cluster, a rough or a tumbled stone, or a natural or polished point.
Clear Quartz provides clarity to your resolutions and continuously communicates these to the universe, even when you are not thinking about them. As an energy amplifier it also helps to strengthen your resolve.
It is very helpful to cleanse the crystal and your alter area fairly regularly. While you are at it, use this time to reread and review your New Year resolutions. It can be worthwhile to sit and meditate upon your list at this time. It is often at this time that ideas and activities become apparent that will lead you closer to your goals.
Keep in mind that you can use this exercise at any time you want to create a new future for yourself. This is not just a New Year exercise.
